Frequently asked
Common questions.
Getting started
Download the Bimble app, enter your mobile number, and verify the code we send you. There is no password to remember.
No. Bimble is a technology platform. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and we do not practise medicine. Any care you receive comes from the independent practitioners and clinics you choose to connect with. In an emergency, call 000.
Your Bimble data is hosted in Australia. Your health information is encrypted, and only you and the providers you authorise can see it.
Your health records and privacy
Only you, and any provider or clinic you grant access to. You choose what each provider can see, category by category, and you can change or withdraw that access at any time. A practitioner who is actively treating you may keep access for a short period to complete your care safely, such as to follow up on results.
Yes. Your health data is encrypted with a key that is unique to you, so a database breach on its own cannot reveal your information. We also protect your data in transit with TLS.
You grant access per provider or clinic, and you choose which categories of your information each can see. You can change or withdraw that access at any time in the app.
The health-tracking data you record yourself (such as meals, weight, sleep, and glucose) is yours, and you can delete it at any time in the app, either individual entries or a whole category. Records of care provided by a health professional (such as telehealth consultations, referrals, and clinical notes) must be kept for the minimum periods required by law and cannot be deleted on request. Because your account may hold both kinds of information, we do not currently offer full account deletion. You can, however, delete your tracking data, revoke providers access, and ask us to deactivate your account. See our Privacy Policy for detail.
Appointments and telehealth
Open the app and book with a Bimble provider or with a clinic that uses Bimble, then pick an available time. You join the video consult directly in the app at your scheduled time.
The Bimble app on your phone or tablet, a working camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection. Whether your appointment is with a Bimble provider or with a clinic that uses Bimble, you join the video consult the same way: directly in the app at your appointment time. If your connection drops, you can rejoin, or your practitioner may switch to audio where that is clinically appropriate.
Yes, from the app. You agree to the cancellation terms when you book, and the exact fee, if any, is always shown to you in the app before you confirm a cancellation. For appointments with a Bimble provider, cancelling well ahead of time is free; cancelling closer to your appointment, or not attending, may charge a percentage of the consultation fee. For appointments with a clinic that uses Bimble, the clinic sets its own notice period and fees. Cancelling with enough notice frees the slot for someone else.
Family and accounts
Yes. You can add family members, including children under 16, as linked profiles under your account, and manage their appointments and information. When a child turns 16, their profile can be moved to their own independent account, after which you no longer have access unless they grant it.
You can delete the health-tracking data you have recorded, revoke providers access, and ask us to deactivate your account. Records of care provided by a health professional are kept for the minimum periods required by law and cannot be deleted on request. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full.
For providers and clinics
Practitioner accounts are set up through an invitation. You provide your AHPRA registration and ABN, which we verify before you can receive access to any patient information. You will also set up multi-factor authentication to secure your account.
A clinic adds its practitioners and staff, sets each person role, and controls what each role can access. When someone leaves or changes role, the clinic is responsible for updating or removing their access promptly.
Where the platform supports payments to you, payouts are handled through our payment provider (Stripe Connect). You provide your payout and tax details, and you remain responsible for your own invoicing and tax obligations.
Not yet. Medicare claim processing for clinics is planned but not currently available. When it is offered, we will publish the terms that apply and update our privacy documentation first.
No. Features that flag, prompt, count, summarise, or schedule (including AI-assisted features) are there to support your administration and record-keeping. They do not make clinical judgements and are not a substitute for your professional judgement. You remain responsible for every clinical decision.
