Collection Notice
What we collect at the point of collection, and why.
Last updated 12 July 2026
This Collection Notice tells you, at the point we collect your information, what we collect and why. It is a short summary. Our Privacy Policy contains the full detail, including how you can access or correct your information and how to make a privacy complaint. If anything here and in the Privacy Policy differs, the Privacy Policy prevails.
Who is collecting your information
Bimble Health Services Pty Ltd (ACN 696 487 895) (Bimble) operates the Bimble platform: the Bimble mobile app, the Provider Portal, and the bimble.health website. Bimble is the entity that collects and holds your information.
What we collect and why
We collect only what we need for the way you use Bimble.
If you are a patient, we collect your identity and contact details, and the health information you choose to record or upload (such as medications, documents, appointments, and any health-tracking categories you switch on). We collect this so you can keep and manage your own health records, book and attend consultations, and share information with practitioners you choose. Health tracking is opt-in: nothing in a category is collected unless you turn it on.
If you are a practitioner, we collect your name and contact details, your AHPRA registration number and ABN, your availability, and payout references. We collect this to verify you, set up your account, and let you manage consultations and payments.
If you are a clinic or clinic staff member, we collect the clinic's business details (including its ABN) and, for staff, your name, contact details, and role. We collect this to set up the clinic, manage its members, and control what each person can access.
We also collect information you give us when you contact support or join a waitlist, and limited technical information needed to run the platform securely.
Sensitive information and your consent
Health information is sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We collect it with your consent, and only where it is reasonably necessary for the platform's functions. By recording health information in Bimble, or by receiving care through the platform, you consent to us handling it as described in the Privacy Policy. You can withdraw consent as described there, though some records of care must be retained for the minimum periods required by law.
If you don't provide your information
You don't have to give us your information, but if you don't provide what a feature needs, we may not be able to provide that feature to you (for example, we cannot verify a practitioner without their AHPRA details).
Who we share it with
We share your information only as needed to run the platform and provide your care:
with the practitioners and clinics you authorise to see your health information, under your control;
with service providers that help us operate the platform (such as cloud hosting, payments, and communications); and
where required or authorised by law.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share patient health information for marketing.
Overseas disclosure
Our primary data hosting is in Australia, and our customer-relationship and waitlist provider also hosts its data in Australia. Some service providers may nonetheless process limited information overseas in the course of providing their service. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. The Privacy Policy lists our providers.
Access, correction and complaints
Our Privacy Policy explains how to access or correct your information, and how to make a privacy complaint. You can contact our Privacy and Compliance team at compliance@bimble.health.
